Keeping the flame alive

I was fortunate to be in the Houses of Parliament today to witness the journey of the Paralympic flame through the Palace of Westminster. Following the spectacular success of Team GB during the London 2012 Olympics, and the Games itself, it is fair to say that expectations are running high for our Paralympians at the Games which start in 5 days time. My very best wishes to all of those taking part in this truly historic event.

For those of you who are still suffering withdrawal symptoms as you await the start of the Paralympics, it is worth noting that Medway is currently hosting the Westfield Health British Transplant Games, so please do consider joining these fine athletes at various venues around Medway this weekend.
